When I get asked how I knew I wanted to be a therapist, the honest answer is I don’t know. What I do know, is that I love being a therapist.

My Mission

The journey towards health & wellness is about constantly learning, adjusting and changing. Today's goals are where you start. Where you go is up to you.

When you are faced with the option to either stay the same or change, I hope that you always choose change. I also know that sometimes change is scary and overwhelming. That’s where I come in. Life is never perfect and neither are we. I can relate to the feeling of fumbling your way through, not being quite sure that what you’re doing or where you’re headed is the right thing at all, only knowing that your life keeps on going. Therapy can help you align your actions with your goals and can help you find whatever it is that you’re looking for in your life. I believe in using a wellness approach that looks at how you are functioning in all areas of your life so that you can be your best you. Not just surviving, but THRIVING! I use a neurobiology and nervous system informed, somatically aware, relational approach to my work to support healing.

I can help you rediscover a path you were once on but have lost track of or uncover a new path. I will walk beside you with peace, grace and a brave heart to promote growth, hope and healing in you.

What I've Achieved

  • Master’s Degree as an Educational Specialist in Counselor Education; what that means to you is that I have the educational background that laid a strong foundation for my work.

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Addictions Counselor; what that means is that I am licensed in the state of SC to assess, diagnose and treat individuals, couples, families in both individual and group settings.

  • Certified Clinical Supervisor, Licensed Addictions Counselor Supervisor and Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor (In Process); what this means is I can provide clinical supervision for professionals seeking a supervisor to obtain their license as a LAC or LMFT as well as certification as an ADC in the state of SC.

  • I am currently completing my Consultant In-Process certification through EMDRIA. This certification allows me to provide consultation for those looking to advance their practice in EMDR or to become an EMDR Certified Therapist through EMDRIA.

  • 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher; this means I completed formal training in order to teach yoga. The style of yoga my training focused on is called Vinyasa, which implies the linking of movement and breath.

  • In my non-working life, I am a wife and mother constantly trying to maintain a balance between work, family and personal passions. I like being active, love yoga, and try to spend time outside as much as possible. I love a good book, great food and the ocean.
